Job summary

Genworth is hiring a Cybersecurity Program Analyst in Richmond, VA, offering a hybrid schedule with in-office days Tue–Thu and core business hours 9am–5pm EST. You will support governance, reporting, and risk management for our cybersecurity program, coordinating milestones, metrics, and regulatory activities to strengthen operations.

The role targets an early-career professional with a bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of related experience, with opportunity to grow in PMO and cybersecurity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 1–3 years in project coordination, program support, business operations, governance, cybersecurity, compliance, or related field.
  • Experience supporting projects, programs, PMO functions, or operational initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices.
  • CAPM or PMP progress preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Excel or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cybersecurity program and portfolio management activities by tracking project milestones, maintaining schedules, monitoring risks and action items, and supporting the successful execution of cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity metrics, dashboards, and reporting that provide visibility into program performance, regulatory commitments, operational effectiveness, and strategic priorities.
  • Manage assigned operational processes within the cybersecurity program, including performing initial quality reviews of ServiceNow requests and ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support cybersecurity governance activities, including policy and standards management, audit and regulatory coordination, evidence collection, and tracking of commitments and remediation activities.
  • Research, analyze, and maintain information used to support cybersecurity risk management activities, including the development and maintenance of cyber travel risk ratings and related program documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and workflows that enhance program efficiency, consistency, and overall effectiveness.

Position Title

*A Hybrid schedule of both Remote and In-Office days is required. In office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with working hours targeting our core business hours of 9am-5pm EST.

Your Role

As an IT team member, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that are the foundation of the world class customer service that our customers expect and deserve – now and in the future.

In this role, you will support the governance and operational management of the cybersecurity program. Working closely with cybersecurity leaders and team members, you will help coordinate program activities, maintain reporting and metrics, support policy and regulatory processes, and contribute to the successful execution of cybersecurity initiatives. This role is ideal for an early-career professional interested in developing program management, governance, and cybersecurity experience while helping drive operational excellence across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, program support, business operations, governance, cybersecurity, compliance, or a related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting projects, programs, PMO functions, or operational initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices.
  • CAPM certification or progress toward PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Excel or Power BI.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

National Range: $77,800 - $117,000

Disclaimer: This role is aligned to a national market-based pay range. Actual compensation will vary based on geographic location, experience, skills, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in a bonus incentive plan. Incentive compensation is based on individual and company performance and is not guaranteed.
