PACCAR Inc in Renton, WA is offering a 2027 Winter Internship in Security Operations. You will work with the North America SecOps team to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, and incident response within an enterprise environment.

The program emphasizes learning monitoring of alerts from SIEM/EDR, developing event analysis and threat-hunting skills, and collaborating with seasoned analysts.

Qualifications

• Foundational IT and cybersecurity knowledge from coursework or internships.
• Security tools experience is desired.
• Ability to present and discuss security topics confidently.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, and incident response within an enterprise environment.
• Learn how to monitor and investigate security alerts generated from SIEM, EDR, identity, cloud, and email security platforms.
• Develop foundational skills in security event analysis, threat hunting, and cybersecurity investigations.
• Work alongside experienced security analysts and engineers to understand incident response processes and best practices.
• Build knowledge of common cyber threats, attacker techniques, and defensive security controls.
