Job summary

LA Times Studios LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and maintain security technologies protecting our systems, networks, apps, and data. You will work with IT, Engineering, and business teams to identify vulnerabilities, monitor events, and strengthen security posture across digital publishing platforms and newsroom systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years in cybersecurity or 5+ years in related roles.
• Experience supporting enterprise security technologies and security operations processes.
• Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and IAM practices.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools and vulnerability scanning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
• Investigate security alerts and assist with incident response.
• Support deployment and maintenance of security technologies across the enterprise.
• Perform security reviews and health checks, documenting findings and follow-ups.
• Assist with vulnerability management, remediation coordination, and reporting.
• Support incident containment, recovery, and remediation efforts.
