Spartanburg County HR is seeking an Information Security Analyst to support daily cybersecurity operations, monitor alerts, triage incidents, and track vulnerabilities while serving as the internal liaison to the County’s managed SOC/MDR provider. Onsite in Spartanburg, SC, the role emphasizes partnership, accountability, timely communication, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or related field.
• 3 years of experience in security operations and vulnerability management.
• Experience with IT risk analysis and audits.

Responsabilités

• Review and validate security alerts across MDR/SOC, endpoints, identity, and firewall events.
• Coordinate incident tickets from evidence collection to remediation.
• Maintain vulnerability management including scans, results validation, and remediation tracking.
• Develop dashboards and metrics, produce trend reports and risk summaries.
• Support phishing simulations and security awareness activities.
• Document procedures and playbooks for consistent operations.
