Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Vice President in Cybersecurity Operational Risk Management to provide independent risk oversight of the firm's cybersecurity program. You will leverage deep technical expertise to evaluate risk decisions and strengthen the risk posture across technology domains.

You will engage with cybersecurity, engineering, and business leaders to drive risk-informed governance, controls, and policy enhancements while advising on cryptography, AI risk, and secure development

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity engineering, security architecture, or similar technical roles.
• Experience operating in a Second Line/risk oversight function within finance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Secure by Design in complex environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risk management, controls, and governance in regulated settings.
• Ability to analyze risks, exercise independent judgment, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for governance forums.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Second Line of Defense partner to cybersecurity leadership, supporting risk oversight across strategies and programs.
• Assess design, implementation, and effectiveness of SDLC and Secure by Design practices across tech teams.
• Evaluate risks from control managers and security implementations; identify gaps and remediation.
• Oversee cryptographic strategy: key management, authentication, encryption, and post-quantum risks.
• Assess risks of AI technologies and governance frameworks; advise on controls.
• Provide independent risk opinions balancing oversight with collaboration.
• Stay aware of evolving cyber threats, regulations, and industry developments.
• Contribute to evolving risk frameworks, standards, policies, and governance.
• Support research and testing informing cybersecurity risk management practices.
