Job summary

The University of Louisville is seeking Information Technology Practitioners to serve as Part-Time Lecturers in the NSA Cybersecurity Workforce Certificate Program and to support digital literacy programs and IT certification initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have cybersecurity/IT experience and hold an Associate’s degree with current CompTIA certifications, strong communication skills, and the ability to teach in an asynchronous online setting with MS Office and LMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Current, relevant CompTIA certification(s) aligned with the curriculum being instructed (A+, Network+, Cloud+, Security+, PenTest+)
• Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in an asynchronous instructional environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and learning management systems

Responsibilities

• Facilitate asynchronous online instruction by guiding students through course content, activities, and assessments
• Provide timely feedback, academic support, and clarification to students via the learning management system
• Monitor student progress and engagement, intervening as appropriate to support successful course completion
• Maintain accurate course records, grades, and required documentation in accordance with university policies
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure instructional quality, curriculum alignment, and continuous improvement
