Job summary
The Evergreen State College seeks a broadly trained regular faculty member to develop innovative curriculum in cybersecurity, networking, and computing infrastructure within an interdisciplinary, team-taught program. Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in cybersecurity/IT/NET/IS/CS, or a master’s with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- College-level teaching experience in IT, networking, cybersecurity or related field.
- Professional experience in networking, network administration, systems administration, cybersecurity operations, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise IT.
- Experience supporting underserved students and diverse learners in IT and cybersecurity.
- Experience developing technical communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and professional workplace skills.
Responsibilities
- Teach IT foundations, networking concepts and protocols, network administration, and systems administration.
- Bridge courses into cybersecurity practice and coordinate the Cybersecurity Certificate.
- Design and teach courses contributing to certificate programs and degree pathways.
- Engage diverse learners and develop inclusive, interdisciplinary teaching practices.
