Job summary

Evergreen State College seeks a broadly trained faculty member to develop innovative curriculum in cybersecurity, networking, and computing infrastructure within an interdisciplinary, team-taught program. The role focuses on IT foundations, network administration, and cybersecurity practice, with an emphasis on serving diverse adult learners and workforce education.

The successful candidate will lead the Cybersecurity Certificate and contribute to degree completion pathways for returning adults,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent in cybersecurity/IT/related field, or Master’s with 5+ years of professional experience in related areas.
• College-level teaching experience in IT, networking, cybersecurity or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting underserved students and diverse learners in IT/cybersecurity.
• Experience or potential for developing curriculum and coordinating certificate/workforce programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach IT foundations, networking concepts and protocols, network administration, systems administration, and the bridge into cybersecurity practice.
• Coordinate the College’s Cybersecurity Certificate and advise students.
• Develop curriculum for certificates and degree completion, including workforce-oriented programs.
• Contribute to inclusive, interdisciplinary teaching approaches for diverse learners.
