Job summary

CAE USA Inc. seeks a Cybersecurity Manager to lead the RMF program for the C-17 Training System, ensuring compliance with DoD directives and NIST policies.

You will coordinate planning, staffing, and governance across multiple locations, interfacing with USAF leadership and external auditors to maintain Authorization to Operate status and robust security controls. You will guide documentation, manage incidents, and drive cybersecurity training while collaborating with engineers to secure updates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity field.
• Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level I (Level II preferred) or DoD 8570-01 equivalent certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word.
• Able to deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime and various shifts as required.
• Understanding of military protocols and customs.
• Domestic and international travel as required.
• Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, staff, manage and control the RMF program across 16 locations.
• Prepare, review and submit RMF documentation (SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms).
• Ensure security controls are implemented, monitored and aligned with DoD/NIST requirements.
• Guide accreditation process to achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) and ensure eMASS accuracy.
• Integrate cybersecurity measures into C-17 simulation and sustainment systems (HW, SW, network).
• Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.
• Coordinate with engineers to securely integrate updates and patches.
• Manage security incidents and provide timely containment and reporting.
• Interface with USAF leadership, IT and engineering sustainment teams for compliance.
• Communicate risks to leadership and prepare security status reports.
