Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Gary campus seeks a full-time, 9-month faculty member in Information Technology. The role delivers quality instruction across formats, aligns with program outcomes, and uses IvyLearn for assessment and communication.

The position emphasizes student retention, academic coaching, and college service, with opportunities for additional compensation during summer assignments. Minimum qualifications follow college guidelines.

Qualifications

Master's degree in information technology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution, with the listed alternatives.
Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field with two years of in-field professional employment or equivalent evidence of teaching excellence, or related certifications.

Responsibilities

Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology to support student learning.
Develop and maintain curriculum and materials aligned with course objectives and outcomes.
Maintain student records, attendance, grades and documentation.
Use Learning Management System (e.g. IvyLearn) for teaching, learning, assessment and communication.
Engage in student recruitment, retention and outreach activities.
Participate in college committees, professional development and community outreach.
