Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is offering a Technology Intern role for the summer in Pittsburgh, with an 11-week program designed to tackle real security challenges across multiple teams. The internship combines in-office days with remote work, and includes leadership exposure, Q&A sessions, and project presentations to executives.

Interns will work with Cybersecurity Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Digital Fraud, and other security groups, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship from security

Qualifications

• Graduation date in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Attending an accredited university, college, or technical school with a major in Cyber Security, Information Sciences & Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other related majors.
• An interest and passion for cybersecurity and digital trust areas of focus.

Responsibilities

• Consult with technology and security staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications, and software.
• Recommend and coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
• Provide technical expertise for the implementation and management of security tools such as EDR, PKI, enterprise firewalls, and secrets management.
• Perform security event log monitoring and analysis for applications and infrastructure to identify possible cybersecurity threats.
• Gather, analyze, and assess the current and future threat landscape to provide a realistic overview of risks and threats in the enterprise environment.
