Job summary

Google is seeking a cybersecurity internship candidate for a 12-week program in the United States. The role targets students in CS or Info Security, penultimate year, with proficiency in Python/C++/Go, Linux/macOS/Windows familiarity, and a drive to defend enterprise systems.

Location options include Mountain View and Playa Vista, CA; relocation and US work eligibility required. Responsibilities include advising on security programs, implementing controls, and coordinating with clients to mature

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related technical field.
• Project, lab, or coursework experience in cybersecurity fundamentals, network protocols, or investigative/incident response environments.
• Experience with programming or scripting in Python, C/C++, Go, Bash, or SQL.

• Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, and clearly communicate the value proposition of complex and highly technical subjects.
• Implement or assess existing security controls.
• Interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations. Track and drive to close any issues that impact the service and its value to clients.
• Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within customer environment to drive resolution for security issues.
