Job summary

At Cencora, currently seeking Information Security Interns for Summer 2027. The role offers hands-on experience with real-world security practices, tools, and techniques, collaborating with experienced professionals on strategic projects that impact the organization.

Interns will gain insight into security policy, standards, and guidelines, and contribute to process improvements while developing both technical and professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Interest to learn about information security practices and technologies.
• Basic understanding of information security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, GRC).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive information.
• Eagerness to learn and apply cybersecurity principles in a professional environment.
• Microsoft Operating System concepts and system administration knowledge.
• On-site availability at Conshohocken, PA or Carrollton, TX.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic security projects and tasks to gain practical experience in the security landscape.
• Partner closely with seasoned professionals on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Perform other security‑related tasks as needed to support the team.
• Pro‑active vs. Re‑active mindset to engage in Information Security developmental workshops and intern‑led activities.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documents such as spreadsheets that track, measure, and facilitate improvement of internal processes.
• Review and assist in the implementation of security policy, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives that require analysis and keen desire to learn various Information Security tools.
• Support on special projects and other tasks/duties as needed.
