Job summary

7-Eleven invites a motivated Information Security Intern to join their Irving, TX team for a 10–12 week summer internship. You will work on security policies and cross-functional projects with mentorship from a dedicated coach and a store-tour experience to understand distribution systems.

Eligible candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Cybersecurity, or related field and expect to graduate in 2027 or 2028.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field and graduating in 2027 or 2028.
Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization abilities.
Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining Information Security policies, standards, processes and workflows with detailed direction.
Pursue your professional development plan created by team leadership.
Work on assigned tasks in order of importance to business objectives as directed by senior team members.
Complete routine assignments according to defined policies and procedures; escalate complex issues when needed.
