Cybersecurity / Infrastructure Analyst

The Cybersecurity / Infrastructure Analyst supports the Foundation’s technology environment through a focus on cybersecurity, core infrastructure operations, and supplemental end-user support. This role works under cybersecurity and infrastructure leadership to help ensure the Foundation’s systems are secure, reliable, resilient, and aligned with organizational needs.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining infrastructure and cybersecurity systems, assisting with incident response and risk-reduction activities, and providing backup help desk coverage during staffing gaps, escalations, high-volume periods, and priority incidents.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
Cybersecurity
  • Review cybersecurity alerts and events, elevate findings, and assist with incident response and remediation activities as directed.
  • Help administer and maintain cybersecurity tools, including endpoint detection, vulnerability management, identity security, email security, and logging and monitoring platforms.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, track remediation efforts, perform system access reviews, and contribute to related risk-reduction activities.
  • Contribute to cybersecurity awareness initiatives, response playbooks, procedures, metrics, and documentation.
Core Infrastructure Operations
  • Work with infrastructure/network vendors to resolve issues, maintain service alignment, and track follow-through.
  • Provide analytical and operational support for core infrastructure activities involving servers, networks, cloud-hosted systems, identity platforms, endpoint management tools, backup systems, and business-critical technology services.
  • Assist with infrastructure planning, capacity awareness, infrastructure-related documentation, and process improvements under the guidance of cybersecurity and infrastructure leadership.
Help Desk Support / Backup

Provide backup help desk coverage during staffing gaps, high-volume periods, escalations, and priority incidents, resolving common hardware, software, access, connectivity, mobile device, and application issues.

  • Deliver timely, customer-focused support by documenting tickets, assisting with device setup and replacement, supporting onboarding and offboarding, and recommending service improvements.
Specific Responsibilities Include:

Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, system/network administration, business or related field or equivalent years of experience is required.

Work Experience: At least three years of experience as a cybersecurity and/or infrastructure analyst. Additional experience as a help desk technician is a plus.

Travel: This position will require no business travel.

Qualified candidates for this position must be highly motivated, capable of self-direction, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a team. Candidates must exhibit a keen sense of responsibility and enjoy working with multiple demands, shifting priorities, and constant change.

  • Applies strong analytical, critical-thinking, and troubleshooting skills to identify issues, evaluate information, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Learns new technologies quickly, synthesizes information from multiple sources, and communicates technical concepts in clear, concise, and actionable terms.
  • Demonstrates a customer-focused and collaborative approach, with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide professional technical assistance to users and business partners.
  • Effectively prioritizes multiple responsibilities, maintains attention to detail, and remains calm and adaptable amid changing demands, service disruptions, and priority incidents.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information appropriately and demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, and values consistent with those of the Foundation.
  • Possesses strong computer literacy and experience with a range of enterprise technologies, including cybersecurity platforms, Windows and macOS systems, mobile devices, networking technologies, cloud-hosted services, productivity applications, and IT service management tools.
