Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation in Seattle invites a cybersecurity intern to support vulnerability management, governance, risk management, and compliance within a risk-based information security program. You will work hands-on with our cybersecurity team to learn how a program is run, maintaining policies, and assisting with risk assessments and awareness initiatives.

You will gain exposure to NIS2 obligations for EU operations, review security configurations in Azure, SharePoint, and M365, and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Risk Management, Business, or related field.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, audit, or policy through coursework or activities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Available to work at least 20 hours per week during the internship term.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cybersecurity policy, standard, and process library with version control and approvals.
• Supports risk assessments and gap analyses against standards (NIST CSF 2.0, etc.).
• Contributes to security awareness and training programs and campaign metrics.
• Builds dashboards and reports for leadership and tracks regulatory developments (NIST, NIS2, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA).
