Job summary

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Risk Management, Business, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, audit, or policy through coursework, certifications, clubs, competitions, or personal study.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to produce clear, well-organized documentation.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Available to work at least 20hours per week during the internship term.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cybersecurity policy, standard, and process library with formatting, version control, and approval routing.
• Supports control assessments and gap analyses against NIST CSF 2.0 and related families.
• Assists with risk assessments and vendor assessment tracking.
• Contributes to security awareness and training programs and metrics.
• Builds and maintains compliance dashboards and leadership reporting.
• Researches regulatory developments (NIST, NIS2, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and summarizes impacts for the team.
• Coordinates remediation of findings with departments and patch management with IT.
