The Cybersecurity Fraud Analyst performs detailed analysis and correlation of data to model proactive call center detection/prevention and investigate risks to UHG.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Review logs and indicators to identify, analyze, document, and report risky or suspicious actions or behaviors observed in security logs.
2. Correlate data from various sources to support the identification of anomalous behavior using critical thinking skills.
3. Provide clear and detailed information to alert relevant teams, helping to address risks and drive corrective actions.
4. Continuously learn and adapt, applying lessons learned from past incidents to improve detection and response strategies.
5. Translate business risks into threat monitoring use cases and conduct risk assessments on data sources for monitoring tools.
6. Collaborate with partner teams to support investigations, provide technical expertise, and communicate risks effectively.
7. Mentor and train other analysts in investigative techniques and technical skills.
8. Assist with complex cybersecurity incidents, investigations, and maintain chain of custody for legal compliance.

Required Qualifications

1. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in systems security or cybersecurity.
2. At least 1 year of experience monitoring systems and analyzing data.
3. At least 1 year of experience handling sensitive information responsibly and ethically.
4. In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and tools.
5. Proficiency in analyzing data to identify potential cyber threats.
6. Ability to resolve security incidents efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pindrop experience.
• Adherence to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy for remote employees.

The salary range is $71,600 to $140,600 annually, based on full-time employment and various factors such as location, education, experience, and certifications. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentive programs, stock options, and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility.
