American Express is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to contribute to secure web apps, services, and integrations across frontend and backend. You will work with React, Node.js, Java, Python, Go, and other technologies to deliver end-to-end features while strengthening security tooling and SDLC practices.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, translate requirements, implement secure solutions, and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and security across environments.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Software engineering experience in application design, software development, and automated testing
• Experience with Python, Go, Java, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of distributed systems, NoSQL and relational databases
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and secure SDLC practices
• Familiarity with AI tools to improve engineering productivity and quality

Responsabilidades

• Develops and maintains software applications with secure, clean code and automated tests
• Writes robust software components and performs code reviews with guidance
• Supports and monitors software across test, integration, and production environments
• Collaborates with product and business teams to align technology with objectives
• Engages in building security-focused features across frontend and backend
