Job summary

The City of Englewood is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to protect critical systems and data across municipal technology and water management infrastructures. You will advise on cybersecurity measures, monitor for vulnerabilities, and assist in incident response to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of City systems.

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will collaborate with IT teams and city leadership to implement secure technologies, ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in IT with at least 3 years in information security, cybersecurity, or compliance.

Responsibilities

• Communicates complex information and metrics to leadership.
• Collaborates with IT and business teams to support cybersecurity initiatives.
• Performs risk assessments and analyzes emerging threats.
• Assists with regulatory compliance and audits (HIPAA, CJIS, CJIS, CJIS).
• Develops cybersecurity policies and training initiatives.
