Job summary

Augusta University is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support its security program across networking infrastructure. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting security tools and programs to protect the organization’s data and systems, with an emphasis on network configurations, NAC, authentication, routing, switching, firewalls, segmentation, and overall security architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience.
• Knowledge of technical security controls and processes, and ability to read security diagrams.
• Experience with one or more cloud service platforms and change management processes.
• Familiarity with education-relevant regulatory legislation and student privacy protections.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability management across workstations, servers, network, and AV infrastructure; develop remediation plans.
• Engineer, install, and maintain security applications and solutions for network security and monitoring.
• Develop, review and enforce networking standards.
• Provide engineering support to the security operations center and assist with incident response.
• Troubleshoot security systems and coordinate with other teams on issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
