Job summary

Saliense Consulting LLC seeks a Security Engineer - Middle to join our security operations team in Arlington, VA. You will conduct assessments, audits, penetration tests, and forensic IT tasks across client/server systems, databases, networks, and vehicle/appliance tech.

The role requires hands-on SIEM experience, strong incident response skills, and the ability to think like a hacker to anticipate vulnerabilities. One onsite day per week in Arlington is expected.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a technology-related discipline.
• Hands-on SIEM configuration and log management.
• Experience with penetration testing and security assessments.
• Vulnerability and patch management experience.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, Windows and Linux security.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash).
• Security incident response coordination.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Thinking like a hacker to identify vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define, review and enforce information security policies for operations and technology implementations.
• Identify IT security risks from technical and functional perspectives.
• Conduct technical security assessments as part of vulnerability and patch management program.
• Conduct security assessments on USMS client/server systems, networks and databases.
• Coordinate and conduct log management, event monitoring, and compliance automation.
• Analyze data from event monitoring to determine corrective actions and trends.
• Maintain awareness of security trends and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate incident response and advisories.
