The Judge Group is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Engineer to establish and sustain a robust information security program, safeguarding data, systems, and critical infrastructure in the United States. You will lead security initiatives, drive risk management, and ensure compliance with CJIS, PCI, NIST, ISO, and related standards.

You will collaborate with IT leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to embed security into projects, while developing metrics and awareness

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience with expertise in security operations, risk management, incident response, network security, cloud security, and compliance.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP are nice to haves.
• The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to independently drive cybersecurity initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, standards, and access controls.
• Monitor networks, systems, logs, and security platforms to identify and respond to threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized activity.
• Conduct security incident response, investigations, and remediation efforts.
• Perform risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing oversight, and security audits.
• Manage network security controls, including firewalls, IPS, MDR platforms, and certificate management.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and frameworks, including CJIS, PCI, NIST, ISO, and other relevant standards.
• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resilience initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and ensure security requirements are incorporated into projects and services.
• Develop security metrics, reporting, and awareness programs to improve organizational security maturity and culture.
• Provide technical guidance, security education, and on‑call support as needed.
• Conduct discovery across the current environment, tools, controls, and responsibilities.
• Connect security activity across application and infrastructure layers and identify gaps in existing coverage.
• Evaluate how current tools fit together and blueprint an overall security framework.
• Carry a strategy through planning, implementation, and ongoing execution.
• Create foundational practices and help establish a cybersecurity function or division within IT.
• Take initiative and work with limited handholding. The team can provide environmental context but needs the hire to supply the security expertise and ownership.
