Job summary

Applied Research Solutions in Bedford, MA is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Journeyman to support the Air Force lifecycle management programs at Hanscom AFB. The role focuses on security documentation, RMF authorization activities, and implementing DoD cybersecurity policies across system designs and operations.

The ideal candidate is a US citizen with a ABET-accredited degree, 5–10 years of relevant experience (3+ in the DoD), an active Secret clearance, and a Security+ certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years of experience in the field, 3 of which in the DoD.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Security+ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing security documentation (SSMP, PPP, SRA, OPSEC).
• Support RMF Authorization and Accreditation activities (A&A).
• Manage system users, ports/protocols, PKI, and access controls.
• Implement and track security updates and vulnerability remediation per DoD.
• Review RMF controls across system architecture and design artifacts.
• Collaborate to obtain RMF A&A approval from Authorizing Officials.
