Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer II to translate security requirements into IT product designs and work with engineering teams, including contractor oversight. The role blends security architecture with development, configuration support, and lifecycle collaboration.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in cybersecurity, DoD 8570 Level II, and an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance. Location is Virginia (onsite) with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related professional experience.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in government or industry.
• DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification.
• Active TS/SCI w/ Poly required.

Responsibilities

• Assist development teams in designing and developing information systems and upgrading legacy systems.
• Conduct product research and AoA activities to identify security solutions.
• Contribute to system concepts and the capability phase of the SDLC.
• Translate technology and regulatory conditions into system security designs.
• Develop and document Security Architectures, Roadmaps, and investment plans.
• Oversee Mid- and Junior-level contractor Cyber Security Engineers.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
