Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer II
Location: Chantilly, VA (Remote)
Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer II with expertise in both Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Operational Technology (OT) to support a US Government (USG) customer in the Defense sector. Under the guidance of Cybersecurity Engineer III/Vice President - Technology and Innovation, your primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and assessing secure, scalable cybersecurity environments that integrate ICT and OT assets. The role requires deep expertise in network security architectures for mixed ICT and OT environments, hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ICS) security, and SCADA security. Responsibilities also include documentation, risk assessments, vendor collaboration, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cybersecurity Architecture & Design: Architect, design, document, and implement cybersecurity solutions for facilities involving ICT, OT, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures, adhering to standards.
  2. Design Zero Trust Architectures: Include micro segmentation, least-privilege access, and AI-driven anomaly detection.
  3. Develop Cybersecurity Blueprints: Incorporate cryptography, security zones, and threat modeling.
  4. Vendor Collaboration: Work with vendors to implement solutions and ensure compliance.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Establish and ensure compliance with Cybersecurity Governance Frameworks (CSGF).
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments, identify gaps, and lead penetration testing efforts.
  • Evaluate and integrate security technologies, verify effectiveness, and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare reports and develop automated compliance and risk tracking systems.
  • Assist in developing and conducting cybersecurity training and exercises.
  • Support the Vice President and ensure quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity with at least 4 years in OT.
  • Experience with cybersecurity architecture, OT security, assessments, and relevant certifications.
  • Knowledge of standards like NIST, ISO/IEC 27000, IEC 62443, and experience with AI/ML in ICS environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
