Job summary

Huntington is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to provide expert defense capabilities from the Easton Oval office in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on provisioning, supporting, and maintaining cyber security platforms, services, and configurations aligned with enterprise strategy.

The successful candidate will participate in daily security operations, evaluate and mitigate SIEM alerts, and help implement mitigations and new detection rules. Strong technical expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production support and design of Cyber Security technologies.
• 5+ years of operational experience with security technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ additional years of equivalent experience in cybersecurity production support.
• Expert level network troubleshooting skills using Wireshark, TCPdump.
• Intermediate knowledge of core networking protocols (BGP, DNS, HTTP/S).

Responsibilities

• Participate in day-to-day security operations monitoring and response from the Cyber Security Operations Center.
• Evaluate, respond, and mitigate alerts from the SIEM and Cyber Security product suite.
• Implement or recommend mitigations including new alerts and rules in security tools.
• Analyze and identify malicious activity during various attack stages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their expertise on provisioning, supporting, and ongoing maintenance of Cyber Security operating platforms, applications and services.
