Wakefern Food Corp. is seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and optimize enterprise security controls across on‑premises infrastructure and networks.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, network, server, identity management, compliance, and SOC teams to strengthen the security posture. The role emphasizes securing platforms, configuring defenses, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the cybersecurity program.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in cybersecurity engineering, network security, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability tools, SIEM).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and Windows Server/AD environments.
• Ability to document procedures, metrics, and risk-based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently and with teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, configure, and optimize security technologies for on‑premises infrastructure and network environments.
• Manage security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering, endpoints, and privileged access management.
• Support platform lifecycle management, upgrades, policy tuning, and health monitoring.
• Develop standards, security baselines, diagrams, and support documentation.
• Automate routine security administration, monitoring, reporting, and remediation.
• Partner with teams to improve visibility, monitoring, and response capabilities.
• Participate in on‑call or after‑hours escalation as required.
