Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County is seeking a cybersecurity professional to secure and support the college’s information security infrastructure. The role involves planning changes, performing vulnerability scans, and conducting risk assessments to protect data and systems across campus.

You will implement security measures, respond to incidents, and provide training and guidance to the college community on security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in cybersecurity with a minimum of one-year experience in cybersecurity or information technology.
• Experience securing operating systems, networks, and applications at enterprise level.
• Cybersecurity certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning and implementation of additions, deletions, and major modifications to the college wide information security infrastructure.
• Perform vulnerability scans of college systems, review vulnerability scan reports, and assist with remediating vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
• Conduct security risk assessments and assist with remediation activities.
• Investigate and respond to security anomalies discovered during system security logs reviews or reported by college stakeholders.
• Assist with the development and enforcement of college wide information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Perform security analysis to secure the business processes of the institution while meeting faculty, student, and administrative needs.
• Assist the College community in identifying and remediating college security policy violations.
