Job summary

Accela is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to independently drive security engineering across endpoints, identities, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems. You will troubleshoot, implement safeguards, and contribute to ongoing improvements while collaborating with IT, Engineering, DevOps, IAM, and Compliance teams.

The role emphasizes ownership from identification through resolution, with opportunities to automate and document processes, support SOC 2/HIPAA/ISO frameworks, and advance security

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in enterprise IT, endpoint operations, security operations, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting endpoint technologies across Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage endpoint security and compliance across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments, including baselines, EDR, antivirus, disk encryption, MDM, and OS hardening.
• Administer and troubleshoot identity and access controls including provisioning/deprovisioning, SSO, MFA, and conditional access.
• Monitor and analyze alerts/logs in SIEM/EDR; perform initial triage and escalate complex findings as needed.
• Conduct initial technical investigations and document findings to guide next steps.
• Manage vulnerability-management activities: review scans, assess severity, coordinate remediation with owners, track to completion.
• Perform periodic access reviews and privileged-access reviews to support least- privilege practices.
