Job summary

DOT Security is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to enable and support our security solutions within client environments. The role blends project work with day-to-day support and is ideal for an IT engineer looking to move into cybersecurity.

You will onboard, renew, and implement security solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and help develop repeatable deployment procedures, while documenting runbooks and guidance for varied scenarios.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT and cybersecurity projects in a managed services environment.
• Experience with EDR, NDR, XDR, SIEM, DNS filtering and email filtering.
• Familiarity with PSA, ticketing, and time-tracking systems.
• Knowledge of CIS Controls, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Security+, or Network+.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical implementation of security solutions within client environments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain health of agents, connectors, and network devices.
• Provide consultative advisement and guidance for varied scenarios.
• Develop and maintain deployment procedures, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Record time daily in PSA; accurate time entry is required for billing and planning.
