Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving cybersecurity solutions across the organization's technology environment.
The role requires a hands-on security professional with strong technical expertise across cybersecurity domains, the ability to identify and mitigate security risks, and experience working with modern infrastructure, cloud environments, security tools, and distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Engineering & Operations
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls and security solutions.
- Monitor security environments to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and support incident remediation.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical standards.
- Continuously improve the organization's security posture and operational processes.
- Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Assess cloud infrastructure for security risks and configuration issues.
- Support secure architecture and infrastructure design.
- Apply security best practices across networks, systems, endpoints, and applications.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to address security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security incidents.
- Perform threat analysis and support incident response activities.
- Identify indicators of compromise and potential attack vectors.
- Participate in vulnerability management and remediation processes.
- Develop and improve detection and response capabilities.
Application & DevSecOps Security
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
- Support secure coding practices and application security initiatives.
- Implement security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Promote DevSecOps practices across engineering teams.
Security Assessment & Risk Management
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability reviews.
- Identify cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support penetration testing and security testing activities.
- Assist with security audits, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security controls, findings, and remediation activities.
Collaboration & Security Awareness
- Work closely with Engineering, IT, Infrastructure, and leadership teams.
- Communicate security risks and technical recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Support security awareness and best-practice initiatives across the organization.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security architecture, and threat management.
- Experience with security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience with cloud security environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of networking, operating systems, identity and access management, and endpoint security.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, or related technologies.
- Understanding of application security and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with international and distributed teams.
