Job summary

Initvalue is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen security posture across applications, infrastructure, networks, and data. You will work with engineering, cloud, DevOps, IT, and security teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement controls, and respond to incidents.

The role requires practical security expertise, cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure/GCP), and the ability to translate security requirements into scalable, repeatable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of network, application, cloud and endpoint security.
• Hands-on security monitoring and SIEM experience.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and management.
• Familiarity with IAM, authentication, authorization and encryption.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain security controls across apps, infrastructure, networks and cloud.
• Identify, assess and remediate vulnerabilities and risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support testing activities.
• Monitor security events and investigate threats and incidents.
• Develop and improve security monitoring, detection and response processes.
• Implement and manage security solutions such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, WAF and vulnerability-management platforms.
• Secure cloud environments across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Implement IAM, authentication, authorization and least-privilege controls.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps to address security risks.
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Develop security standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Perform security reviews of apps, infra, APIs and cloud architectures.
• Support audits, compliance and risk assessments.
