Job summary

Sigma Defense is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in Rome, NY. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining security controls across DoD RMF processes, cloud environments, and infrastructure as code.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers, perform vulnerability assessments with ACAS, and leverage Azure Defender for Cloud to strengthen security posture. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance are required, along with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience across information systems and Azure environments.
• Citizen of the United States with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Familiarity with DoD RMF, ACAS, and Xacta.
• DoD security requirements experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior cybersecurity engineers to implement and maintain security controls throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support RMF activities and automation of security/compliance processes.
• Assist with Zero Trust implementation across systems, applications, cloud infrastructure, and supporting technologies.
• Perform vulnerability scanning and assessment using ACAS and review results for remediation.
