Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support cyber defense operations, tier-2 responses, and AI-enabled workflows in Brentwood, TN. This onsite/hybrid role involves designing detections, automations, and controls across platforms, with travel up to 25%.

You will co-lead threat hunting, exposure reduction, and incident investigations, translating threat intel into actionable guidance, and producing executive-ready metrics and reports.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in security operations or incident response.
• Hands-on engineering and systems deployment experience.
• Clearances/background checks for healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage ticket queues and triage in ticketing systems.
• Co-lead complex cybersecurity investigations/activities.
• Own a major security control area or security tool module.
• Administer and tune security platforms; perform daily checks.
• Translate threat intel and MITRE ATT&CK into actionable detections and hardening guidance.
• Build detections/analytics and automation for response enrichment.
• Produce advanced metrics and executive-ready reports.
• Support cyber defense across detection, prevention, protection, response and remediation.
• Utilize AI-assisted analysis to improve investigations and verify content for accuracy.
• Support exposure management including vulnerability analysis and risk-based prioritization.
• Document actions, findings and recommendations per policy.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats and adversary techniques.
