Job Description

Under general direction, the Cybersecurity Engineer designs, implements, and maintains the enterprise security controls that protect Permian Resources’ information systems, data, and cloud environments. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our security infrastructure with a focus on identity and access management, incident response, vulnerability management, and detection and response as well as developing and enforcing security policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of security principles, threat analysis, and incident response, and works effectively on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. • Design and implement security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, data loss prevention (DLP), and cloud security controls.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data.
  • Conduct threat analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure.
  • Research and evaluate new security technologies and provide security awareness training to employees.
