Everforth ECS in Arlington, VA (Hybrid) is seeking a Data Engineer to join a team supporting DHS/CISA programs. The role focuses on constructing data architectures, ETL workflows, and data integrations, collaborating across analytics teams to enable digital transformation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in large-scale data architectures, experience with SQL, data modeling, and tools like Apache Kafka, Python, and PostgreSQL. Eligible for a Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
• 3+ years of IT experience including experience in development of large-scale, complex data architectures.
• Ability to design, model, build, and maintain data for complex, extensible and highly visible on premise and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with data management, data architecture concepts, data warehousing, and data analytics.

Responsabilités

• Conducts data-integration and data-warehouse development tasks in an Agile project-management framework guided by a data-solution methodology.
• Collaborates with data-technology stakeholders within the agency to drive digital transformation.
• Develops conceptual data models of clients’ mission environments and reviews policy and procedure documents.
• Translates data models into normalized, referentially-integrated data schema and deploys into open-source RDBMS.
• Inspects and evaluates source systems and performs data quality assessments; provides recommendations and estimates on data suitability and cleansing efforts.
• Provide recommendations on data-storage and -management strategies and architectures; evaluate end-to-end data-processing needs and technologies.
• Developed denormalized views of contents of normalized, referentially-integrated database for visualization and UI purposes.
