Job Overview:
Kavaliro is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Compliance Lead to support our client in Washington, D.C. This position requires an experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity compliance, risk management frameworks, and Department of Defense (DoD) security regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cybersecurity compliance, providing incident response support, and conducting security training for personnel. This role requires a proactive leader with expertise in cybersecurity governance and continuous auditing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with DoD’s Risk Management Framework (RMF) and applicable cybersecurity regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical cybersecurity documentation and presentations.
  • Provide incident response support, including intrusion detection and classified spill remediation.
  • Conduct Information Assurance (IA) awareness training for customers.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of NIST, DoD, and Army security regulations to support compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure the continuous auditing and maintenance of the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS).

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
  • IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GSLC).
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Extensive knowledge of DoD’s RMF processes and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Strong experience in cybersecurity documentation, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a classified environment.
  • Hands-on experience with eMASS and other compliance tools.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cybersecurity projects.
