Job summary

Saab, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY is offering a Co-op/Intern opportunity for a motivated cybersecurity student for the 2027 Spring and/or Summer semesters.

You will work with Information Security Analysts on real-time monitoring and security tasks in a hands-on environment. Responsibilities include security assessments, risk analysis, alert investigations, vulnerability scans, incident response, and developing secure baselines across various systems and products.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited cybersecurity degree program.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Must have completed Sophomore year or greater.
• Must hold US citizenship only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security assessments of applications and systems using penetration testing.
• Assist with risk analysis and vulnerability management.
• Configure and investigate security alerts with IT coordination.
• Conduct vulnerability scans and coordinate software fixes.
• Respond to cybersecurity incidents and assist in investigations.
• Engage in incident response using forensic techniques.
• Develop secure baselines for Windows/Linux OS, firewalls, and networks.
