Job summary

Google is seeking a Customer Engineer in security sales engineering to build trusted advisor relationships with customers and help drive adoption of Google Cloud and Mandiant SaaS solutions.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design secure, compliant architectures, deliver technical demonstrations, and provide best‑practice guidance. Occasional travel up to 50% is required, and you will stay at the forefront of cybersecurity trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• 4+ years in a technical sales engineering role in cybersecurity, networking, or cloud.
• Experience in SOC operations, threat detection, malware intelligence, or cloud security posture management.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Master’s degree in technology/engineering preferred.
• Certifications in cloud or security technologies preferred.
• Experience implementing security solutions including threat detection or IAM systems.
• Knowledge of security marketplace characteristics (ransomware, ATT&CK, zero-day threats).
• Familiarity with hacking/exploitation tools, malware families, and IDS/IPS evasion.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify enterprise opportunities with security sales and Google Cloud teams.
• Showcase and validate solutions benefits in client and partner environments.
• Maintain excellent technical expertise.
• Support Mandiant opportunities and relationships, owning technical aspects of solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proofs-of-ideas to customers and partners.
• Prepare product messaging focusing on our solutions value proposition and demonstrate Mandiant SaaS solutions.
• Act as interface between sales and technical staff to resolve customer issues.
