Cybersecurity Cloud Analyst

Location: Remote, with the ability to regularly travel to Ft. Belvoir, VA for meetings.

Security Investigation Requirement: Required to possess a DOD SECRET Clearance and be eligible for an IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) upon assignment.

Position Summary

Nationwide IT Services is seeking a Cybersecurity Cloud Analyst to support secure cloud system architecture, policy review, and threat reporting. This role will support DoD cloud environments by identifying gaps in cloud security controls and supporting detection and response activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review cloud security architecture and designs to ensure alignment with DoD requirements.
  • Analyze cloud security policies and recommend improvements.
  • Support monitoring, detection, and response activities in cloud environments.
  • Work with cyber intelligence and incident response teams to analyze cloud-based threats.
  • Support cybersecurity engineers in identifying gaps in cloud protection and detection.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging cloud threats and provide actionable reporting and briefings.
Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) years of cybersecurity experience
  • Three (3) years of IT administration or cybersecurity experience within a cloud environment
  • Understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Working knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Understanding of basic network concepts
  • Experience supporting cloud deployments (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS)
  • Cloud certification equivalent to: GCP Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Security Specialty, or CCSP
  • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief government leadership and technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting cloud SIEM/logging and monitoring solutions
  • Experience producing briefings and reporting for leadership
