Job summary

A Master's degree is required, plus two years of CIS teaching experience and a portfolio of security-focused work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, information assurance, cybersecurity, computer information systems or the equivalent is required.
• (All degrees and units used to satisfy minimum qualifications shall be from accredited institutions. Foreign transcripts are not considered unless accompanied by anofficialUnited States clearing house evaluation report.)
• Minimum of two years of successful experience teaching computer information systems courses is required.
• Teaching experience related to networking, cybersecurity, and programming is preferred.
• Portfolio of work demonstrating knowledge in network security, cybersecurity, forensics, VMware, VirtualBox, Virtual images, Python scripting and information assurance.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the duties of a full-time instructor, including holding weekly office hours and completing 24 hours of flex credit through activities and seminars.
• The instructional assignment will include cybersecurity, networking, programming, and cloud computing lecture and/or laboratory classes, with evening/weekend/online offerings.
• Participate in outcomes assessment work.
• Maintain a workload expectation of forty hours weekly including classes, preparation, student evaluation, office hours, committee work, curriculum development, and program assessment.
• Engage in institutional service activities and department decision-making processes.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics; advise student organizations and co-curricular activities.
