Blu Omega LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a federal program focused on enterprise cybersecurity activities for the National Cancer Institute. The role is remote with potential onsite collaboration in Rockville, MD and requires experience in risk management, security controls, and RMF processes.

You will analyze requirements, develop security documentation, and assist with risk assessments and remediation efforts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity, information security, or related IT/security roles.
• Experience with cybersecurity risk, security requirements, vulnerability management, or security controls.
• Familiarity with NIST, RMF, FISMA, assessment, and authorization concepts.
• Ability to analyze technical information and clearly document findings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Engineer

Blu Omega is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support a federal program focused on enterprise cybersecurity activities for the National Cancer Institute. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for analyzing security requirements, supporting security solutions, and developing security documentation across NCI systems and environments. The position requires experience supporting cybersecurity risk management, assessment, authorization, and security engineering within a mission-driven environment.

Program Overview

The program provides enterprise cybersecurity support services, including governance, risk & compliance, assessment & authorization, security operations, and security engineering for the National Cancer Institute.

Responsibilities

Compensation

Salary Range: $85,000–$115,000/year
Final compensation is based on experience, education, and certifications.
