Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to plan, design, and maintain security solutions across a national transportation and LTL logistics environment. The role emphasizes secure-by-design, regulatory readiness, and embedding security into digital freight transformation initiatives.

You will lead architecture governance, collaborate with business units and IT leadership, and mentor engineering teams to reduce operational risk and ensure compliant infrastructure across enterprise IT,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cybersecurity with architectural leadership experience.
• Experience with enterprise GRC frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001).
• Expertise in cloud security, network segmentation, IAM, and data protection.
• Industry certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CISM, TOGAF, or equivalent.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or OT-heavy environments.
• Familiarity with OT/ICS security standards (ISA/IEC 62443).

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve security architecture strategy aligned with transportation systems and logistics operations.
• Design secure integration patterns for dispatch, WMS/TMS, and telematics.
• Lead threat modeling and architectural reviews for applications interfacing with mobile fleets and OT systems.
• Architect secure cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., AWS/Azure).
• Support DevSecOps integration across CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate security tools supporting 24/7 fleet operations (SIEM, EDR, IAM, ZTNA).
• Collaborate with IT, Risk, Legal, and Operations to embed controls.
