Job summary

BNY Mellon in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Cybersecurity Architect to define and maintain architecture principles and reference designs across enterprise technology. You will partner with engineering, infrastructure, data, and product teams to embed security into solution design.

With 10–12 years in information security and broad domain expertise, you will review architectures, conduct threat modeling and risk assessments, and provide guidance across cloud, network, identity, and data security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10-12 years of information security or related tech experience.
• Broad understanding of security domains such as application, cloud, network, data, identity and access management, and infrastructure security.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain cybersecurity architecture principles, standards, patterns, and reference designs across enterprise technology environments.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, application, data, and product teams to embed security requirements into solution design and implementation.
• Review architectures, designs, and technology initiatives to identify security risks, control gaps, and opportunities to improve resilience.
• Provide architectural guidance across cloud, application, network, platform, API, data security, identity, automation, and AI-enabled technology domains.
