• AI, data privacy and cybersecurity due diligence and M&A support
• Drafting AI, privacy and cybersecurity policies and negotiating data processing and related agreements

Responsibilities

Ideal candidates will have experience assisting clients with:

• AI, cybersecurity and privacy incident preparedness and response
• Regulatory defense and investigations relating to AI, data privacy and cybersecurity issues
• Building legally defensible AI, data privacy and cybersecurity programs in the US, including for NIST, CCPA, BIPA, HIPAA, WMHMDA and other state and federal privacy laws
• AI, data privacy and cybersecurity due diligence and M&A support
• Drafting AI, privacy and cybersecurity policies and negotiating data processing and related agreements

Qualifications

• JD and active bar admission, with law school graduation between 2019 and 2023
• Two to six years of relevant experience in data privacy, AI and cybersecurity
• High level of academic achievement
• Solid law firm experience preferred
• Strong interest in AI, data privacy and cybersecurity
• Federal government or law enforcement experience on AI, cybersecurity or data privacy issues, including non-legal experience, is welcome and encouraged

Compensation

The starting base salary for this Washington, D.C. position is expected to be between $260,000 and $420,000 annually. Actual salary will be based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
