Job summary

Port Corpus Christi Authority is seeking a cybersecurity professional to monitor, analyze, and protect its information systems, networks, and data. The role supports policy development, incident response, and risk management across IT, OT, cloud, and mobile environments.

Responsibilities include security monitoring, threat hunting, and coordinating with stakeholders while upholding regulatory requirements and training personnel in secure practices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS/CS.
• Related field experience.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CySA+, GIAC, CEH, CISSP, CISM or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances, if required.
• Ability to obtain TWIC during employment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, implements, and monitors cybersecurity measures to protect data and infrastructure.
• Responds to cybersecurity incidents, security alerts, and operational emergencies outside normal hours.
• Develops, reviews, and maintains cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Monitors systems, networks, and security technologies to identify threats and policy violations.
• Promotes compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Designs, configures, tests, and evaluates security controls across environments.
• Delivers cybersecurity awareness training to personnel.
• Supports incident response, vulnerability management, and investigations across IT, OT, cloud, and mobile.
• Assesses AI systems risks and AI-enabled technologies.
• Assists with audits and regulatory security documentation.
