Job summary

VG Systems, LLC, seeks an Intermediate Cybersecurity Analyst to support federal IT and cybersecurity operations at Fort Meade, MD. The role emphasizes monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance.

Responsibilities include SIEM monitoring (Splunk, ELK, Sentinel), incident triage, RMF accreditation support, and documentation updates for SOPs and STIG/SRG compliance, with ATO involvement.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 3–5 years IA/cybersecurity experience.
• DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs knowledge.
• Experience with DISA IA processes, eMASS, ACAS, and STIG/SRG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM platforms to detect intrusions and malware activity.
• Conduct investigations on suspicious network activity and support incident triage and resolution.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity baseline documentation (CONOPS, IR Plans, SOPs, PPPs).
• Support RMF accreditation packages, including evidence collection and POA&M development.
