Job summary

Polk State College is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to monitor, assess, and improve the security of college information systems, networks, cloud services, endpoints, applications, and data. This senior role reports within Institutional Technology and acts as a technical resource for security operations and risk management.

You will lead incident response, vulnerability management, policy development, audits, and cross‑department collaboration to implement NIST CSF controls and GLBA/FERPA

Qualifications

• Five years of cybersecurity operations experience.
• Experience with incident response, risk assessment, and audits.
• Knowledge of GLBA, FERPA, GovRAMP concepts, and NIST CSF.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts, logs, and events across networks and cloud environments.
• Lead incident response, containment, recovery, and post‑incident reviews.
• Administer security technologies including SIEM, EDR, and firewall controls.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and playbooks.
• Coordinate audits, collect evidence, and track corrective actions.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and awareness training.
