The role involves monitoring networks, investigating incidents, and implementing security measures on a schedule that runs Wed-Sat, 6 AM–4 PM.

Compensation is negotiable with benefits, including PTO, health coverage for employees, and potential 1099 arrangements case-by-case.

Responsibilities

• Monitor computer networks for security issues.
• Investigate security breaches and cybersecurity incidents.

• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high security.
• Recommend IT security best practices.
• Install security measures, firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Conduct analysis, confirm intrusion details and create forensically sound duplicates.
• Decrypt data and provide technical summaries.
• Analyze recovered data for relevant information and perform timeline, stats and file-signature analysis.

Job Title: Cybersecurity Analyst - Junior Level - ONSITE - an Active Top SECRET required

Compensation: Negotiable with standard benefits based on experience, education, degree and certifications and can also work with candidates who prefer 1099 on a case by case basis

Location: Huntsville, AL (on a federal agency project), fullyONSITE Shift Timings: Wed-Sat 6AM-4PM (basically Wed thru Sat, morning thru evening, 10 hours a day, may need to ADD additional 30 minutes of personal time for break)

Job Description

• Responsible for monitoring computer networks for security issues.
• Investigating security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
• Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
• Recommend best practices for IT security.
• Installing security measures and operating software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
• Must be capable of conducting analysis, confirming intrusion information and creating a forensically sound duplicate of the files.
• Decrypts data and provides technical summaries and input.
• Examines recovered data for relevant information and performs dynamic analysis to include timeline, statistical, and file signature analysis.
• Performs real-time cyber defense handling tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).

Any unused PTO will be issued as a check at the end of an employee's anniversary with us. we also provide 2 floating and 8 public holidays. Floating and holidays expire at the end of every year of service of an employee. All full time employees or w-2 employees with no benefits will be eligible to participate in company's 401k program after 90 days of employment with a company match of 4%, immediate vesting. In addition, all w-2 employees are eligible to be part of company's profit sharing, no employee contributions required.
